Discussion Board / General Forum / Ethics probe in Durbin

We are hearing rumors that an ethics probe is being conducted at Durbin in regard to the three council members who live in the same house.
By law, a majority of a public body consists of a voting majority of its members. In a town council of five, those five would constitute a forum.
Therefore, it is logical to conclude that a quoroum exists whenever these three members get together and since they live together we could conclude that the Durbin Town Council is in constant session even when they are asleep.
Here are our notes from our interview with Slimineous Hudson, our Durbin correspondent.
Mike's dad Earl "Punk" Vance, his son and
daughter in-law are on the town council.
Paul was there to try to get the recorder
position back that he resigned from when
he thought he was moving out of town for
the winter.....
When he decided to stay put for the
winter, he thought he'd resume his
duties....
And they wouldn't let him.
Well, Mike Vance pitched a fit and then, it
all went to hell in a hand cart from there.
Paul ended up telling them to take the
position and shove it.
Apparently, he a few other former
members have been collaborating.
Paul is essentially black balled from ever
holding another official position in the
town again because Mike Vance and
Donald Peck are in collaboration. They
want the mayoral election to be a two dog
race and anyone that could sway the vote
(or god forbid run for mayor like Paul did
previously) out of the way.
To respond to the probe we have a report that
individual water/sewage accounts for the three
councilmen to be presented to the ethics board. We
will be watching.
